Last week someone asked whether Mobile-Agent or iEasyRun is more advanced. There is no single answer. If the question is whether the work can run steadily next week, it is usually the workstation.
One is a framework, the other is a workstation you install and use
Mobile-Agent is an open-source agent framework on a research track. It is about how perception, planning, and execution connect.
iEasyRun is a local phone-automation workstation. Install, devices, tasks, workflows, and MCP are in the product.
| Dimension | Mobile-Agent | iEasyRun |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | An agent framework / a research asset | A workstation you can install |
| Getting started | Read the docs, set up the environment, get a device talking | Follow the install guide |
| Who it is for | Algorithm and engineering research, and further development | Operators, studios, and systems integration |
| Platforms | Research work is often Android-heavy | Android / iOS / HarmonyOS |
| Multi-device and audit | You build it | Multi-device and task records are in the product |
| AI assistant setup | You connect the model and the tools yourself | MCP exposes this machine’s capabilities |
| What counts as success | A demo, a metric, reproducing a paper | The day’s tasks finish, and a failure can be traced |
Mobile-Agent is for taking the phone-agent problem apart so the community can keep changing it. It is also for trying a new planner, a vision policy, or tool calling. A team with two or three engineers can use it for experiments. After an experiment works, install, multi-device, and task records still have to be added before it is a system that runs the business every day.
The workstation handles a different set of jobs
People who are not on the algorithm side can dispatch tasks.
Connecting a real phone, permissions, and execution feedback follow a fixed path.
Repeat steps, such as short video, are stored as workflows.
When you need it, Claude or WorkBuddy can drive the phones through MCP.
Ask three questions before you choose:
- Is success “the paper or the demo runs,” or “twenty phones finish publishing every day”?
- Is there someone on the team who can maintain the open-source runtime full time?
- Do you have to cover iOS and HarmonyOS, or only Android lab phones?
If you care more about finishing the day’s work, about having few people maintain the runtime, and about covering iOS and HarmonyOS, choose iEasyRun. If you care more about getting a paper or a demo running, someone can change the runtime, and the experiments are mainly on Android, choose Mobile-Agent.
