MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for AI assistants to call external tools. Once it is connected, the assistant can call tools you have authorized, such as checking the weather, reading and writing files, and operating a device. Claude, WorkBuddy, and similar tools support MCP. Claude controlling a phone goes through this same path. The first time people get the config working, they often notice there is nothing extra to install on the phone.

The phone exposes three capabilities

Through one MCP server, the phone becomes a tool the assistant can call. On the outside that is three things: see which devices are online, send a task to a phone, and query the result. The assistant understands what you said, then calls these capabilities and drives a real phone.

A typical conversation looks like this:

You: "Post this draft on that Android phone. Open the app and publish."

AI assistant: OK. I will confirm the device is online, run the publish task, and tell you the result when it finishes.

Check devices: which phones are online, and what they are doing.

Send a task: describe the work in plain language. The AI breaks it apart and runs it on the phone.

See the result: success or failure, and which step it stuck on. When the run finishes, the result comes back.

Four steps to connect it

  1. Install iEasyRun on your own computer. No server is required. See installation.
  2. Connect Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS phones so they can be scheduled.
  3. Add the MCP server address in the AI assistant. Follow the official docs. See AI integration.
  4. Dispatch tasks in the conversation. The assistant drives the phone, then sends the result back.

The whole system runs on your own computer. The phone list, task records, and execution logs stay local. They do not pass through a third-party server.
