Why Manual Posting Rarely Lands on Time

Two Kinds of Schedules: Conversation vs Workflow

iEasyRun offers two scheduling types, and choosing the right one is most of the setup.

• Conversation schedule — at the set time, the workstation replays the content of a conversation. Use this when the task is best expressed as an instruction you would type each time.
• Workflow schedule — at the set time, the workstation runs a saved workflow template on a chosen phone. Use this when the steps are fixed and you want the same flow every time.

For posting, the steps are usually fixed, so a workflow schedule is the natural fit. Build the publish flow once in Workflows, keep the caption, topics, and video index as parameters, and let the schedule supply the device and the timing.

If you want an editing assistant to see what is available before you schedule, the local MCP server exposes query tools such as list_devices and list_workflows, so you can check which phones and templates exist. It is read-only by design: tapping, swiping, and running a workflow are not available over MCP and always happen inside iEasyRun.

How to Set the Time Rules

Open the Schedule page to create a task and define the rule. Two shapes cover most posting needs:

• A fixed time point — for example, publish one post each day at a chosen hour. Good for a steady cadence.
• A recurring interval — for example, publish one post every set number of minutes. Good for spreading a batch across a window.

When you create the task you point it at a target phone and at the workflow or conversation it should run. If you publish to several phones, prefer selecting a device group rather than individual phones, so the task stays easy to maintain as your fleet changes. Groups are managed in Devices.

One practical habit: change one thing at a time. Set the schedule, let it fire once, confirm the result, and only then adjust the time rule. Editing several rules at once makes it hard to tell what changed the outcome.

Prerequisites: Workstation Running, Phone Online

A schedule is only as reliable as its preconditions. All of these must hold at the moment the task is due:

If the workstation is closed, the task simply will not fire. If the phone has gone offline, the run will not start. Neither failure is silent, though — both show up with an error in Execution History, which is why checking that page is part of the routine, not an afterthought.

Verify Every Run in Execution History

Once the first scheduled run completes, open Execution History. Each record tells you the source of the task, its status, the target device, and the error message if something went wrong.

A fixed troubleshooting order makes diagnosis quick:

• An “automation environment” error points back to the phone-side setup on the install selection page.
• A “device offline” error points back to Devices.
• An “unauthorized or expired” error points to the workflow’s state in the workflow library.
• An image match or OCR failure points to Image Templates or the capabilities configuration.

If the same step fails repeatedly, that is useful information: the interface probably shifted, or an icon-only button is no longer being recognized. Add or refresh an image template and the scheduled run usually recovers.

Why Scheduled Beats Manual Posting

The gain is not speed on a single post — it is consistency across many. A schedule holds the release time even when you are busy, asleep, or working elsewhere. It runs the same flow you already validated instead of the version you improvise at midnight. And it leaves a record, so “did it go out?” has an answer in a log rather than a guess.

That combination is hard to match by hand. A person can post well once; a rule can post the same way on time, repeatedly, without being reminded.
